Free To Learn | Monthly SDE Parent Education Nights
November 19, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - April 21, 2020 @ 8:00 pm
These monthly SDE Parent Education Nights hosted by Free To Learn Agile Learning Community in Rocklin, California, are available to the greater community for expanding horizons, deepening knowledge and building community. These are great places to bring friends and family who want to learn more about how SDE works too.
Every third Tuesday from November 19 to April 21 from 6-8 pm
Culture Creation – Exploring the Agile Learning Center tool of creating intentional culture and how you can support this at home.
3 R’s – This conversation will be open to exploring the vast number of ways in which children learn when allowed to immerse themselves freely in their natural environments.
Boundaries & Risks – Supporting our free children can feel risky sometimes. Let’s come together to chat about how to deepen their explorations while navigating our own biases and fears.
Diversity & Inclusivity – This is a deep value at Free to Learn. Come dive into what it means to create a culture that supports the hard spaces in our culture.
High School & College – There are many ways to navigate the upper grades and future learning. We’ll be talking about some of the many paths your child may embark upon and how to support them in those.
The Cycles of Learning – Learning happens naturally and it has been observed to generally cycle through regular stages. We practice intention, creation, reflection and sharing every day at Free to Learn. We will be focusing on how this looks and a deeper look into what “sharable value” really is (different from our American Cultural definition.)
